Sisters
by Raina Telgemeier
View in Library Catalog
book cover

This book is a graphic novel, so it's a quick and easy read that is also quite fun. It's about two sisters (as well as the rest of the family) when they go on a road trip to a family reunion. A easily-relateable book.

Murder Under Cover

This is a good book, part of the "Bibliophile Mystery" series. It's about a woman named Brooklyn Wainwright, who restores books as a profession, and is an amateur detective as a hobby. It's not her fault she keeps finding bodies, right? Each mystery keeps you on your toes, and you don't want to put it down until everything comes together at the end.

Great beach read. Couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book.

Madame President

The book is about a girl that has a dream about being the President.

Lucky Strikes
by Louis Bayard

book cover

This book is about 3 children after their mom dies and their dad is nowhere to be seen so they have to figure out a way to take care of the family buisness all by themselves. The reason why I took those two stars away is because the book didn't feel exciting. There wasn't anything exciting happening that kept me turning the pages. It was a good book, just not to my liking.

How We Roll

This book is about a girl with alopecia, which made all her hair fall out, and a guy who had his legs amputated. Although their problems may be different, they are able to bond over this and start a friendship. This is a really sweet book about loving yourself and friendship.

Dead End In Norvelt

I like how the book was realistic fiction, yet it described someones summer as it is. I like how the kid had to endure different things that weren't his fault. I also liked how it went over the history of America (not all of it) so it was also educational.

From The Notebooks Of A Middle School Princess
by Meg Cabot

This book is about a girl who thinks she is just an average middle schooler, but is actually royalty. It is a pretty good book, the only reason I took away 1 star is because I'm not really into princess stuff that much, but I still liked it.

A Series Of Unfortunate Events 4
by Lemony SNicket

This is the 4th book in the series A Series of Unfortunate Events. It is about 3 siblings who lost their parents in a fire. They don't have any close relatives, so they are sent to live with a relative who owns a lumber mill in the miserable town of Paltryville. As soon as they get there, their relative puts them right to work. They have a terrible time there, and on top of that, strange things start happening them, and they suspect that one of their relatives is after them trying to steal their fortune(their parents left them a lot of money). They have to work together, using each other's strengths if they want to live a normal life. I rate it 4 stars.

Flush
by Carl Hiaasen

Overall, Flush was a pretty good book. It's about how the main character's dad wanted to get justice on someone who was dumping waste into the ocean. The reason I took away a star is because the middle felt boring and long. I didn't really want to keep reading, but I did anyway. It had a sweet ending (SPOILER OMITTED) which redeemed it.
